Camerano cheese is a cheese made from goats’ milk. The fresh, soft and semi-hard cheeses are made from pasteurised milk and mature cheeses can be made from raw or pasteurised milk.

One important feature of Camerano cheese are the outside marking caused by the “cilla”, a mould used for giving the cheese its shape, which as it is made of plaited cane, leaves its imprint on the rind of the cheese.
